Belgium, a team who were hotly fancied to overcome Wales, took a first half lead when Radja Nainggolan fired home a thunderbolt in the 13th minute only for Welsh skipper Ashley Williams to head in the equaliser just 17 minutes later.
“If you work hard enough and you’re not afraid to dream then you’re not afraid to fail”, Coleman said.
“I said before we kicked the ball today, we are not here to enjoy it, we are here to compete”, he said.
Wales best performance at an global tournament was at the 1958 World Cup, where they crashed out in the quarter-final.
It is the best performance in a major tournament in Wales’ 140-year history.
“We have to say since that 1958 quarter-final, you have to put this down as the biggest game our country’s been involved in, which is a great place to be and a great pressure to have”.
After the Wales defeat, Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois declined to back Wilmots. “We do it for them and for ourselves, we keep going”.
Its statement read: “After consultation between the federal president and the chairman, we have decided not to make any hasty decisions, but to take a few weeks working on a thorough evaluation of the national team’s performance”.
Belgium’s fast breaks stretched Wales from the start and helped create four chances in a hectic seventh minute.
“We lost against Italy, but I think we played three good matches against Ireland, against Sweden and against Hungary”.
Despite most of their players hitting the form at the right time, including the likes of Chelsea winger Eden Hazard and Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, Belgium failed miserably to Wales.
As Wales achieved their best ever feat in global football, fans around the world flooded twitter with several congratulatory tweets.
“It’s instincts”, said Robson-Kanu, who is a free agent after letting his contract with English second-tier club Reading expire.
“They’ve been outstanding – but they did what they needed to do, what the team needed from them”.
“It feels incredible to have made the semi-final, but we said it in all our interviews, we aren’t just here to make up the numbers”.

“Not many teams can do that against Belgium, who are an excellent team with the ball themselves”.
