Kaine encouraged Clinton to bump fists at the end, and she patted the senator on the shoulder, listening with a polite smile to his private encouragement as the music roared. He is also fluent in Spanish – a skill he showcased at the top of his remarks – an asset for Clinton, who is counting on a strong Hispanic voter turnout. But Kaine didn’t stop there, going on to attack Trump and his rudeness to worldwide leaders, something that he said highlights what he said was the billionaire’s inability to manage US foreign policy. More important, you wonder if the Republican National Committee delegates seeing Trump’s electoral “plan” (if he ever had more than “go on TV”) fizzle will start wondering just how big a loss the GOP would suffer with Trump at the head of the ticket. While Kaine praised Clinton, he painted Trump as the ultimate “trash talker” and someone who would be a “you’re fired” president. “His message is that you should be afraid”, she told a gathering of Latino activists on Thursday.
