For those unaware, The Bastard Executioner follows “a warrior knight in King Edward III’s charge who is broken by the ravages of war and vows to lay down his sword”.

Fargo’s second season is essentially a prequel to last year’s unbelievable first season, although it features none of the season one cast members.

The new season will follow characters including the father of Season 1 character Molly – Lou Solverson (Patrick Wilson), when he was a young State Trooper, who is working on “a case involving a local crime gang, a major Mob syndicate and a small town”, according to the network. Much like The Bastard Executioner, there will be blood. In addition to Lady Gaga of all people, Hotel will star Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Chloë Sevigny, Denis O’Hare, Cheyenne Jackson, Evan Peters and Finn Wittrock.

The historical fiction series has an ensemble cast led by Lee Jones, Katey Sagal, Stephen Moyer, Matthew Rhys, Ed Sheeran and even Sutter himself. It premieres on September 15 with a two-hour episode.

FX announced the renewal of “The Strain” earlier this morning, but that’s not all the news they have for us! The show is based on del Toro and Chuck Hogan’s The Strain Trilogy novels and airs on Sundays at 10 p.m.
