Arian Foster opens up about not believing in God

Texans running back Arian Foster, who will undergo surgery on Friday to fix a groin injury, is not like a lot of typical NFL players. His verbal ferocity was all rawness and sharp edges, and it allowed people to project upon him their worst fears.

Multiple reports stated that Alfred Blue will be replacing Foster as he is part of the available running backs for the Texans which include Jonathan Grimes and Chris Polk who are both entering their fourth season and rookie Kenny Hillard who was selected in the seventh round in this year’s draft.

“There’s a lot of ignorance about nonbelief”, he explained to Keown.

“If a loving, kind Christian, Muslim or Jewish person can’t accept a different vantage point, there’s just nothing I can do about it”, Foster says. “You know, I’ve studied religion like no other”, Foster said in his testimony.

“You don’t want to ruin endorsements”, Foster said.

While I don’t think it will happen this year, this injury did just skew the odds more in the Tennessee Titans favor.

Normally an injury to another team’s star player wouldn’t end up on this site, but this is a major injury that changes the face of the AFC South. With Foster likely headed to short term I.R. he will have to miss the first eight games of the season at least.

“If there is a God and he’s watching football, there are so many other things he could be doing”, Foster believes.

“That’s my whole thing: Faith isn’t enough for me”. “After a while, what’s an extra dollar compared to the freedom of being you?” I don’t mean a negative connotation of ignorance.

“I have no ill will toward religion or religious people”, he said.

If Arian Foster is to be labelled anything, it’s an aging running back with a history of health issues, not as an atheist.

“[A]s I’m digging deeper into myself and my truth, just being me is more important than being sexy to Pepsi or whoever”, he said.
