The bodies of the seven Japanese hostages were repatriated on Tuesday.
Two people were arrested on 4 July in connection with the attack on a cafe in Dhaka which claimed the lives of 22 people.
Security officials searched on Sunday for evidence and the possible masterminds of the weekend hostage-taking in an upscale restaurant in Bangladesh’s capital. But 20 hostages have died.
Hours later, a similar somber ceremony played out in Rome, as the flag-draped coffins of the nine Italians arrived at Ciampino airport and a priest blessed them. At least 20 hostages – mostly foreigners – were injured in the attack.
The civilians, majority foreigners, were killed by Islamist militants who took them hostage during an hours-long siege that started Friday at a restaurant in the Bangladeshi capital.
“Vietnam sends heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Bangladesh, the countries having their citizens killed, and families of the victims”.
One suspect was detained when paramilitary forces ended the 10-hour standoff Saturday morning, and authorities said he was being interrogated. He added that the arrested terrorists would reveal more details of the group’s activities.
Police and government officials have said the attackers were from well-off Bangladeshi families. She was at Gulshan cafe with two other friends where she was killed in a terror attack.Shringla further said that Prime Minister Hasina has also expressed condolence to her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.
Forensic experts from the Criminal Investigation Department and National Security Agency were at the restaurant Sunday.
Two had attended a private university in Malaysia, one of whom, Nibras Islam, was not particularly religious, according to a student who played football with him at a private college in Dhaka between 2009 and 2011.
“It was assumed initially that the six other bodies were of the terrorists but later five could be identified”, Kamal said.
The escalation has raised global concerns about whether the South Asian country can cope with increasingly strident Islamist militants. The attackers stormed the restaurant in a diplomatic enclave popular with the expatriate community during the final days of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadhan. Previously, most attacks were carried out by gangs of young men wielding cleavers and machetes and hacking into their victims before fleeing.

Bangladeshi media reports said that after US-based SITE Intelligence Group published photos of five gunmen holding assault rifles who, the Islamic State claims, killed the hostages, former classmates have started identifying by posting their old pictures on social media.
