Hugo Lloris still a doubt for Tottenham opener at Manchester United

The American worldwide said that Tottenham should not worry about losing Lloris to United.

Lloris was even close to leaving White Hart Lane this summer as both United and Paris Saint-Germain were considering moves for the player.

The next few days are expected to decisive as Los Blancos are not keen to see De Gea start for Manchester United on the opening day of the season against Tottenham and want a deal to be done soon.

Talks between the two clubs over De Gea became stagnant after Ed Woodward told Madrid he would refuse to sell the Spaniard unless Man United received Sergio Ramos in return – something Madrid were unwilling to do.

“It’s completely down to the player and his attitude”.

De Gea’s future has been called into question as he’s now in the final year of his contract and has been hotly tipped to make a move to Madrid to replace legendary goalkeeper Iker Casillas – who’s joined FC Porto. But if there is a bit of petulance involved in the player – and by no means am I suggesting that David De Gea is like this – it can absolutely effect things.

“I don’t think the club will be happy with what is going on and I don’t think David De Gea will be happy with what’s going on either”.

Sergio Ramos has reportedly handed a boost to Manchester United by rejecting the offer of a new contract from Real Madrid.
