Hillary Clinton on Friday called for the nation to come together in the aftermath of an ambush that killed five police officers in Dallas, Texas, warning that this “absolutely horrific event” — coupled with a series of recent shootings involving police officers — “should worry every single American”.

Hundreds of people gathered in Dallas to protest the killings Thursday night when Micah Xavier Johnson opened fire, killing five police officers and injuring seven others. “Our nation has become too divided”.
Addressing the shootings of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge and Philando Castile in suburban St. Paul, Clinton said that as president she would urge white Americans to gain a better understanding of the anxiety many blacks feel in dealing with law enforcement.
America woke up to yet another tragedy of a life cut down too soon. “Racial divisions have gotten worse, not better”, he said.
“I think we would want to talk it through and make sure we knew what the job was and what he had in mind because it’s not an automatic yes”, he said.
“I think particularly with regard to Syrian refugees it is just plain a lie for the United States government to suggest that they have any ability to vet who these people are”, Gingrich said.
In what seemed a more restrained reaction from a presumptive Republican nominee known for his charged Twitter rants, Mr. Trump also made his first statement about two black men killed by white police officers earlier this week.
Maybe that’s because he was forced to cancel his last planned rally in Doral in March after protesters vowed to storm the event.
Corey Stewart, a Republican who is running for governor, posted on his Facebook page that Clinton and Virginia Democratic Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam “are pitting minorities against the police” with their rhetoric.
“I would say we all love broad sweeping statements”.
Later, during a speech in Philadelphia, Clinton said there are still many facts to be determined.
“It’s an objective reality that if you are a white parent with teenagers you have dramatically less fear of the police walking up to them than if you’re a black parent with black teenagers”, Gingrich said.
“You have to honor the unfortunate things that have been happening in our world, in our country”, said Dickson City resident Mary Ann Hrinko, a campaign volunteer.
In April, she dined with the mothers of black victims of gun violence and police brutality-Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner and Tamir Rice, all of whom were unarmed and died, with the exception of Martin, at the hands of police officers-and listened to their stories.

While the Clinton campaign did not elaborate further on the reason for the postponement of Friday’s events in Scranton, Clinton and Trump took to social media to speak about the shooting.
