Trump, Clinton differ on ‘war’ responses to terrorism

Already, several campaign-related events – including the first planned joint appearance of Clinton and President Obama, another planned campaign event with Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden and today’s scheduled announcement of his running mate by Trump – were
postponed. “We need to strengthen our alliances including with North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, not undermine them”.

The eventual victor of the contest was Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, who also weighed in as details about the attack were still emerging.

O’Reilly then asked Trump if North Atlantic Treaty Organisation troops should be involved in a ground and air war against the terrorists, and Trump said he “would be just fine” with that.

“I would not short-circuit the vetting process”, Clinton said.

Presumptive Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump reacted to the Bastille Day attack on Twitter.

When a viewer pointed out that Clinton also called into his rival programs, Hayes tweeted, “I think they both should’ve waited, but clearly this is the way this works now”. This will be the destruction of civilization as we know it!

Hillary: “I think it is clear we are at war with these terrorist groups and what they represent”. “What is happening is terrorist groups are seeing that they have opportunities inside France for homegrown terrorism and supporting terrorists”, Clinton said in her phone interview on CNN Thursday evening.

“We’re at war against radical jihadists who use Islam to recruit and radicalize others in order to pursue their evil agenda”, added Clinton.

She also said she would “intensify our efforts against the ideologues who peddle radical jihadism online”.

“As we mourn with the people of France, we must resolve to bring justice all those responsible and defeat this enemy of civilization at its source”, Pence said.

The attack was the worst mass shooting in USA history, which killed 49 people and wounded 53 others.

Setting aside the fact that no known terror organizations had claimed responsibility for the killings at the time of Pence’s comments, his rhetoric obscures the most common victims of these sort of attacks. “We have killed a number of their leaders”. And what he appears to be advocating for is very different from the way the United States has engaged in military intervention for the last several decades. CBS News, home of “Face the Nation”, responded with this statement from spokeswoman Caitlin Conant: “We always want to do interviews in person, but we always want to be on the news, too”.
