Stuart Broad: England must worry about Mohammad Amir the bowler
England, Broad reasons, will be very unwise to do anything else.

Britain’s now defunct News of the World tabloid alleges that teenage sensation Mohammad Amir, Pakistan new-ball partner Mohammad Asif and captain Salman Butt agreed to bowl no-balls in return for payment as part of a betting scam in the Lord’s Test against England.
“I think he will deal with all those things and he is ready to answer with his performance and that is what counts”, Wahab said. “Was having a normal day, when I got a phone call and it was great to get good news”.
“(Coach) Trev (Bayliss) had said all week “the opening ball will set the tone and win the Test match” – so I thought everything was on me.
“Runs are important as that’s what keeps you in the team”, the right-hander added.
“He was with us previous year in the Ashes when he was injured and in Durban during the winter, when we beat South Africa”.
Broad senses that will ease the tension, and will prevent England spending time and energy they can ill afford on factors which could make them vulnerable to a resurgent Amir.
Even so, he is steeling himself for repeat circumstances. I’m not saying it should not have been a tough road but he has served his time and been given an opportunity to play for Pakistan again.
“You are stepping into the unknown – but that can give you a bit extra”.
“I love to take responsibility”.
Anderson’s omission from England’s 12-man squad was a surprise, after mixed reports on the seriousness of his injury.
“Personally I would have been tempted to have Jimmy in a 13 [man squad] and have him around working with the bowlers and pushing his fitness to be okay on Thursday”, Broad added.
“I faced him in the Pakistan Super League in Dubai earlier this year”. I’ve had some success in the middle order and now it’s time to further that at the top of the order and I can’t see it being a massive change to my game’. One of the secrets of his successful partnership with Anderson has been the ease of communication between the pair, and he knows he may need to be available to lend an ear to his team-mates if the going gets tough during the coming days.
“If you want to protect the integrity of the game, help cricket grow and inspire youngsters, there can be no place for corrupt players”.
“We all take him as out young brother – he is a part of our family”.
“I’ve been playing well, I just haven’t got that big score that gets you noticed”. English captain Alistair Cook said, “I’m sure there will be a reaction and that is right”.
