Fantastic Four director implies Fox is responsible for horrible film
By all accounts, this should have been a good movie; in addition to its comics pedigree, it boasts a fantastic young cast and a director who has experience making character-driven, critically acclaimed superhero films. He is joined by Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm or The Thing, Kate Mara as Sue Storm or Invisible Woman and Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm or The Human Torch; and it looks like the reactions are mostly positive.

That brings us to “Fantastic Four”, a reboot of the 2005 and 2007 Tim Story-directed versions which starred Chris Evans and Jessica Alba, among others. And it would’ve recieved great reviews.
Will you be contributing to the Fantastic Four’s box office numbers?
Trank’s film is the third attempt to turn Marvel Comics’ Fantastic Four superhero crew into big screen stars. That also compares to the $4 million grossed on Thursday by The Wolverine two years ago, which ended up with $50.3 million in its opening weekend. I believe writers Simon Kinberg, Jeremy Slater and Josh Trank understand this and excel at creating dialogue that is amusing, heartwarming and at times sad. The director hinted that “Fantastic Four” was not the one he had envisioned and that he was forced to succumb to 20 Century Fox’s demands, according to Cinemablend.
Lou Lumenick at the New York Post called it “the summer’s worst movie” and wrote that plans for a sequel “seem more like a threat than a promise”. In other words, for some viewers, “Fantastic Four” will be the first experience of heartbreak.
The director was hired to helm the blockbuster following the success of his found-footage movie “Chronicle”, which also starred Jordan.
Fantastic Four has a swing, but it misses by a mile.

The new Fantastic Four reboot has come out this week and critical reviews have been very sour. Teller, usually a charming presence, is saddled with the task of standing on a rock saying some of the most obvious lines, like “Don’t do this!” and “We’re stronger than him”. He begins sucking the life out of our planet, and by the time the movie gets interesting, it’s just about done.
