We first heard news on Monday morning that Draymond Green was arrested in East Lansing early Sunday morning after an altercation.

Green, who had a blood-alcohol level of 0.10 according to police, was booked on a misdemeanor assault charge and released 3½ hours later after sobering up and posting a $200 bond.

On Friday night, Edmondson said he was at a local bar when two men associated with Green allegedly choked him and his girlfriend. That’s when he slapped him with one officer reporting that the sound of the slap was very loud.

Green is scheduled for arraignment July 20, and is facing a maximum of 93 days in jail and a $500 fine.

While I don’t believe his run-ins with Green have caused Edmondson to leave East Lansing, Michigan, I wouldn’t be surprised if this were the proverbial straw that broke the transfer camel’s back.

“My legal team is handling it. It will be resolved really quickly”, Green said Tuesday in Aspen, Colorado. Edmondson said that after the bar closed, he confronted Green on the sidewalk outside the bar and told him “last night wasn’t cool”. Edmondson claimed that he was “choked out” by two companions of Green, before his girlfriend was also choked by another companion.

Green has since apologized for the incident, saying (via ESPN), “I just can’t put myself in certain situations”. The report indicates Edmondson initially told officers he wished to press charges, although in Edmondson’s recorded statement on the report it says he had no injuries and didn’t wish to pursue charges. “So it’s something that I learn from, and just move on”.

“On Saturday night, Draymond and I were eating in East Lansing”, Fowler said.

A judge on Thursday granted a request to hold Draymond Green’s pre-trial conference next week, before he leaves for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
