Cornerback Jermaine Edmondson, who allegedly was punched in the face by Golden State Warriors star forward Draymond Green over the weekend, has been granted his release from the Michigan State football team.

According to the police report from the incident, Edmondson bumped into Green on Saturday night at Rick’s, an East Lansing bar.

Two days before his arrest, the report claims that Green bumped into Edmondson, who said, “Hey bro, you can at least say ‘Excuse me”.

Green’s arraignment in 54B District Court in East Lansing had been scheduled for July 20, but Green’s appearance was waived. Edmondson said that he didn’t need medical attention and that he did not want to press charges against Green.

On Wednesday night, Michigan State said in a release that Edmondson was given his release and has chose to play his final college season elsewhere. About 5 minutes later when everyone is outside, I see my roommate and Draymond talking, I walk over and I tell Draymond that last night wasn’t cool.

Last season, Edmondson, a defensive back, appeared in 14 games for the Spartans and established a career-high in tackles with 24.

When he told Green to remove his hand, “boom I’m punched in my jaw”, said Edmondson, who added that he did not retaliate.

Green’s schedule for the Olympic basketball team includes training sessions and exhibition games from July 18 through August 1.

When he noticed him talking to his roommate, he chose to tell him that what happened on Friday wasn’t cool.

The alleged incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the city where Green played for the Spartans from 2008 to 2012. “My legal team is handling it”.

Green allegedly responded by saying, “Do you know who I am?”. and added, “I pay for n**gas like you scholarships”. It will be resolved really quickly.
