Pogba could herald new era at United – Ferdinand

After Real Madrid reportedly dropped out of the race for Pogba due to their inability to compete financially with United, it appears as though the Red Devils don’t have any competition for Pogba’s signature.

The Sun reports this morning that United are on the brink of agreeing a world record £105million deal for the France worldwide.

United has already done business with Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, having signed another of his clients already this offseason, with a deal bringing Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund. They are both Juventus players and I hope they will stay. Pjanic moved to Juventus from Roma in a £25.4million deal that could work to United’s advantage.

Pogba has developed in to one of the best all-round midfielders in Europe over the past few years and would add a whole new dimension to the United team if he does end up completing this world record move to Old Trafford.

Speaking to Gazzetta Dello Sport he said, “Anyone who has the opportunity to leave Juventus has to consider things very carefully, because right now Juve are among the top four European clubs”. It was originally reported that when the French global left England to go to Italy, it was because he had fallen out with the club.

Allegri also highlighted the fact that Pogba wants to win a Champions League medal with Juventus.

“We have grown in terms of appeal and awareness of our own capabilities”.

Pogba would cost United £100 million which is a little putting off of the club.

However, Allegri refused to provide any update on the midfielder’s future at the club, and declined to comment on the movements in the transfer window.
