Another hot and humid day

Today: Hot with sunshine mixing with some clouds (a PM shower/t-storm in spots). During the evening hours is when we’ll see our next round of showers and storms.

Saturday will bring mostly cloudy skies, a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m. and a high near 84.

Saturday night: Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 a.m., low around 64.

Temperatures will jump into the mid-80s in northern areas, while temperatures to the south are expected to reach the mid-90s. Now today won’t be a humid as it has been in recent days but certainly still noticeable.

There will be a few scattered showers and possible thunderstorms that could graze parts of the state but some of us may not get wet at all.

Tomorrow will bring sun and clouds mixing with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm.

Temperatures overnight will again fall into the lower 60s with the drier air in place, Collar said. Look for high temperatures in the 90s next week, with higher humidity making it feel like 100 or warmer each afternoon.

The good news is that any showers that cross our area overnight will be out of here just in time for great beach weather and outdoor summer fun activities to continue during the day on Sunday.
