Four cases have been added to a list of shootings in Phoenix by a serial shooter or shooters who may now be responsible for at least seven homicides since March, police said on Tuesday.

The assaults, which have left seven people dead and several injured, began in March when a 16-year-old was shot and wounded while walking in the street.

According to the Phoenix Police Department’s website, the latest shooting was on June 12, when the suspect killed two women and a 12-year-old girl who were sitting in a vehicle listening to music.

Investigators also released a composite sketch showing a dark-haired man described as thin and lanky, possibly in his early ’20s, as Phoenix Police Chief Joe Yahner asked the public for help tracking down any suspects.

The Maricopa County District Attorney’s Office and law enforcement agencies together are offering a $30,000 reward for information that leads to solving this mystery.

On Thursday, city leaders and lawmakers gave Williams props for her expertise in areas like community policing, and called her a “Phoenix success story”. “I remind people that we are a resilient community”, District 5 Councilman Daniel Valenzuela told community members. “The detectives looked at his social media, and they said he was a good guy”.

All shootings happened in home areas and at night. Ellis later succumbed to her injuries. Someone then fired shots from inside the vehicle. “All of these incidents were already under investigation but have now been included in the series of violent crimes previously linked and reported”, police said.

Diego Verdugo Sanchez, 21, was the shooter’s first victim, gunned down while having dinner with his pregnant fiance’s parents.
