Obama calls for national unity after Baton Rouge shooting

Hours later, he delivered remarks on the killings from the White House.

The officers in Baton Rouge were responding to reports of a man carrying a gun on Sunday when shots were fired at around 9am local time.

Trump said “We demand law and order”, in a Facebook post on Sunday afternoon.

“There is no justification for violence against law enforcement”.

This is the second serious shooting incident that killed police officers in the country in less than two weeks after a gunman killed five police officers and hurt seven others in Dallas, a city in the northern part of the USA state of Texas.
