Police find body believed to be that of Taliyah Leigh Marsman
Police said the girl was last seen with an unidentified man on Monday, about nine hours before her mother was found dead, leading to hope that whoever had abducted the child did not plan to harm her.

At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, police took a Downey into custody in a strip mall, located in the 3300 block of 32 Avenue N.E.
Marsman was the subject of an Alberta-wide Amber Alert, which ended in tragedy Thursday night when her body was found in a rural area near Chestermere, Alta.

The cause of Taliyah’s death has not been determined.
“[Sara] was just so supportive”, said Michelle Godin, a family friend and dance teacher at the studio Taliyah attended.
Police say the pair was observed getting out of a vehicle belonging to the girl’s mother, Sara Baillie, and into a dark grey sedan in the area of Pantego Close N.W. not far from Baillie’s home on Panamount Boulevard N.W. where she was found slain.
Investigators have also said footage from a closed-circuit camera shows Baillie and her daughter at a Dairy Queen around suppertime Sunday.
Coleman says he was in the area northeast of Calgary where police search teams are scouring the grass looking for signs of the girl.
The AMBER Alert for Taliyah is in the process of being canceled. An autopsy on Taliyah’s body will likely take place on Friday.
“In the face of such senseless and tragic loss we reach out with love and with a desire to help each other”, Notley said. “Those who know me best, know the person and kind of father I am, and know more than anything, I just want my baby girl back”. He has an extensive criminal history.
Coleman made a statement that “I can tell you that the timeline of events through the investigation would suggest that the entire, both events, occurred prior to police involvement on Monday”.
“We’ve searched three or four houses for Taliyah since the outset of the investigation”, he said.
Orr said she had looked through her barn, greenhouse and other buildings on her property and would continue to keep an eye out.
Coleman said it’s believed Baillie was the primary target of the crime.

Police are also searching for a family who may have been the last to see Baillie alive and with her daughter.
