Williams said, “Until we get to that point, the black lives movement will not have the validity it could have until we take it seriously ourselves”. From the meaning of their name to the false rhetoric of violence and exclusion, the movement for change has often been criticized and misunderstood.

“Like police officers across the country, these men and their families shared a commitment to something larger than themselves”. “I encourage everyone at this rally to put yourself in the shoes of others, educate one another and especially ask questions”. Of course black lives matter, and they matter greatly.
Members of Black Lives Matter Toronto, who were part of the parade as honoured guests, held up the marching for about 30 minutes. “How many times have we seen people marching”. No judge. No jury.
DeRay Mckesson, a prominent activist with the social justice movement Black Lives Matter, said the gathering was aimed at coming up with “concrete actions” to help Obama mend relations between law enforcement officials and black communities. And yes, we are ALL of our Brothers and Sisters Keepers in every city, in every community, in every neighborhood because we must all matter to each other. “When we start being proactive in our community instead of waiting on racially motivated instances to happen for us to unite and protest and march”. When Eric Garner and Michael Brown were killed by police, the killings of two officers in NY immediately followed.
He did not offer detail about the complaints, but said Mr Obama stressed how he had repeatedly voiced support for law enforcement and offered to send critics a list of when he had done so. No way can we survive and maintain our society without the presence of law enforcement.
He continued, “We’re not even close to being there yet, where we want to be”. The group argued against the inclusion of police officers in the parade and made demands that Pride do more to be inclusive of LGBT people of colour.

The former NYC mayor also used his own record in office as an example of how in his mind, he not only cares about black lives, but actually did something to save them.
