Four arrested in courtroom escape
Israel said Stern and Russell waited in a getaway vehicle while the twins were in the courtroom Friday when the 21-year-old Resiles somehow undid his shackles, leapt a barrier and fled.

Resiles reportedly broke free of handcuffs and shackles before leaving his jumpsuit on the ground in the hallway of the courthouse around 10 a.m. Friday.
“The fact that Resiles remains at large tells me that there are others aiding and abetting in his escape”, Israel said. One of prosecutors in the courtroom who I think is actually pregnant was hurt.
The Broward County Courthouse was evacuated for several hours while police searched for Resiles. She noted that Russell also had a bag that included a police uniform, vest and gun belt.
Stern and Russell went to Russell’s home.
The twins in court communicated via cellphone with Russell and Stern and signaled Resiles when the vehicle was ready for him. They were held without bond, NBC Miami wrote.
A nationwide alert warning about Resiles has been sent to the public, but authorities are still focusing their search within the tri-county area, Oglesby said. Stern, Resiles’ girlfriend, was a passenger in the vehicle. The documents say Stern and Russell confessed and laid out the plan to investigators.
The escape set off a multi-agency search effort and three days later, authorities have yet to apprehend Resiles, who was charged with the murder of Jill Halliburton Su in her Davie home in 2014. The reports said police dogs sniffed the jumpsuit to obtain a scent before being employed to track Resiles.
“There is only two ways to get out of cuffs-either they weren’t put on tight or you have a cuff key”, Israel said.
“Once there, the twin brothers were tasked with waiting in the courtroom to signal Resiles when the getaway vehicle was ready”, officers wrote in an arrest report.

Resiles is described as five feet 10 inches tall and 175 pounds with tattoos on both arms, including the names Kerry, Joaquin and Shay. He’s decorated with eight tattoos: “La’Shay” on his right hand; “Kerry” on his left hand; “Joaquin” on his right wrist; “Shay” on his left wrist; flames on his right forearm; skull and hands on his left forearm; “Hood Stars” with stars on his upper left arm; and “Carol” and “Angel” on his upper right arm.
