McDonald’s offering table service

Modernising the brand to provide a smoother consumer experience cutting out lengthy queuing (although the option remains), McDonald’s will enable orders from digital kiosks or tablet wielding staff members, according to the Guardian.

The fast food joint is rolling out a new table service at locations overseas.

FAST food restaurant, McDonalds, has announced it will be trialling table service across some of its UK restaurants this month.

The new service will be trialled in Mottram McDonald’s, east of Manchester city centre, and rolled out in nine more stores before the end of August.

A spokesperson for McDonald’s UK said: “To meet customers’ evolving expectations we are investing in our restaurants to create an exciting new environment and improve the customer experience”.

McDonald’s waitresses are not an uncommon sight in Australia.

The initiative is targeted at young families and customers who do not want to wait at the traditional McDonald’s counter.
