“Meizu MX6 is now official with 5.5” screen and Helio X20
The company today hosted a launch event in Beijing, China, where it launched the MX6 smartphone, the successor of last year’s MX5.

Apart from the smartphone, the company has unveiled the Loop Jacket, which is a protective case for the smartphone priced at CNY 79 (approximately Rs. 800). The Pro 6 used Helio X25 chip, which has a slightly faster A72 cores and a tad higher clock on the GPU.
Of course, the best argument for a Meizu MX6 is still the price point – you can get this for USD$299, a pittance compared to the price points of other flagship phones out there. Sporting that familiar metallic design, the MX6 is just 7.55mm thick and weighs just 155g. It’s easy on the eyes and has plenty of horsepower thanks to a 2.3GHz Helio X20 and 4GB of RAM. It features a rounded all-metal body with 2.5D glass to protect the Sharp-made Full HD display. That 3,060 mAh battery is kept topped up by the new mCharge 3.0 system, which puts 12V at 2A through the phone’s USB Type-C connector, which charge the device from zero-to-full in 75 minutes. With the mChgarge fast charging technology the device can be charged pretty quickly.
The imaging side of things is where Meizu is really happy with what they’ve achieved this time around.
In the photography department, Meizu MX6 offers a 12MP primary camera with LED flash, PDAF and more, and an 8MP front-facing camera.
Connectivity is provided by 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and the handset comes with Flyme OS 5.5 which is based on Android Marshmallow. The fingerprint sensor embedded into the physical home button on the front also support virtual payments.

The phone will be available in China from July 30, however, we now have no official statement from the company about the India release so far, however, we’ll find out soon.
