Macaulay Culkin: Home Alone actor denies ‘pounding’ $6000 of heroin a month
He said: “No, I was not pounding six grand of heroin every month or whatever”.

Former child star Macaulay Culkin has at last addressed long-standing rumours that he was blowing $6,000 per month on heroin.
When asked by The Guardian newspaper whether people were right to be anxious about him back then, he said: “Not necessarily”.
But he returned to the scene past year to make a short film revealing what happened to Kevin after the events of Home Alone – and it’s seriously dark.
When asked if fans should have been concerned about him at the time, he replied, “Not necessarily”.
The 35-year-old actor lives in France now, avoiding the paparazzi.
Like that insane old friend who comes back to town every few years and takes you on a complete blinder of a night out, Macaulay Culkin is doing stuff again and you’re probably going to want to go along for the ride.
Since then, he’s moved away from the spotlight, and recently fronted The Pizza Underground, a band that exclusively performs pizza-themed Velvet Underground covers.
“The thing that bugged me was tabloids wrapping it all in this weird guise of concern”, he said.
Culkin said he has “no idea” why people are still fascinated by him and said he doesn’t think he is “worthy” of media attention. “No, you’re trying to shift papers”, he told the paper.
Culkin – who had a friendship with Michael Jackson – has no regrets about the path his life has taken, and accepts to so many people he will always be fresh-faced prankster Kevin McCallister from Home Alone. “It’s unusual on dates, as it looks like you’re not paying attention”, he said.
“It’s been like that my whole adult life”, Culkin adds. “Like, here’s one you haven’t heard – it involves a pitching wedge (golf club), a donkey and a bucket of ice”. He plans to spend the summer helping musicians Har Mar Superstar and Adam Green during their tour.
‘Macaulay Culkin is out there, and I’m Mac.

He said: “I was thinking about this the other day – I’d crossed the wrong street, picked up a tail, suddenly there’s a crush of 20 paparazzi”.
