Petitioners said Black Lives Matter should be considered a terrorist organization, according to their July 6 petition on “We The People”, because of its actions in Ferguson and Baltimore.

Assistant Police Chief Mike Kurtenbach made the remarks during a crowded forum held by the Phoenix Black Lives Matter group at Phillips Memorial CME Church Monday night.
Black Lives Matter protesters condemned the massacre in Dallas, and prominent members did the same after Sunday’s Baton Rouge shooting of police officers.
Because the online document received at least 100,000 signatures – at the time of this reporting, it had garnered over 141,000 names – the White House was automatically prompted to respond.
“T$3 herefore, we are not able to address the formal request of your petition”, the response stated.
“We know we have a distrust in the black community of police”, Patrick said on CNN.
“Thus the Black Lives Matter movement is not trying to make the world more unsafe for police officers”, they explain.
The statement also went on to acknowledge the rising racial tensions in America as the country continues to grapple with the police shootings of unarmed Black men.
The “We the People” team noted that “The White House plays no role in designating domestic terror organizations”, nor does the USA government “generate a list of domestic terror organizations”.
“That’s not acceptable whether you like them or don’t like them”, he said.
The organization is working towards reforms in law enforcement that demilitarize policing, build trust between police officers and civilians and eliminate the racial profiling that makes it so risky to be a person of color in America. “I think we have to be careful about playing that game, just because that’s not obviously what is intended”, he continued.
