The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Sai Sandeep Goud Kurremula, Asian male. “We know that Sandeep is from Hyderabad and just 10 days ago he joined Sankirth in the flat”.

Praneeth, who spoke to the victim’s family, said Sandeep was drunk when he attacked Sankirth. He said that he rushed to the room hearing some noise to see Sankirth lying on the floor in a pool of blood.
According to the Austin police, they received an alert at 3.13 am from residents of Colonial Village.
Sai Sandeep Goud reportedly checked into his room early this month through a consultancy. Upon arrival, officers encountered two men attempting to load a male victim into a vehicle. It appeared the male victim suffered from a stab wound to his abdomen.
Sankeerth died while being shifted to a hospital and the accused had been taken into custody by the local police, Srinivas said.
Sankeerth was eldest of the two siblings of G. Vijay Kumar and G. Rama. Relatives are wondering why a jovial man like Sankirth was killed.
“A month ago, he got an H1B visa through a lucky draw”. Sankeerth, who completed MS in the United States of America, later found a job there. Sankeerth’s heartbroken parents and family members are trying to bring their son’s body to Hyderabad.

Other relatives add that Sankirth’s mother was informed only on Tuesday as she has been suffering from an illness.
