Watch Lin-Manuel Miranda Take Final ‘Hamilton’ Bow
(Aaron Burr) and Phillipa Soo (Eliza Schuyler/Hamilton), performed in the musical one last time on Saturday. Miranda himself was awarded a MacArthur Foundation “genius” grant past year. “When we had our first lottery 700 people showed up, and we didn’t know what to do with all of that, so I just got up and said a few words. and it’s turned into this”.

Miranda is one of the four actors that had their final performances last night.
Variety reports Aaron Paul, Jane Fonda, John Kerry, Rosie O’Donnell, Mariska Hargitay, Edward Norton and Jennifer Lopez were among those in attendance at the Richard Rodgers Theater.
Miranda played his final performance as Alexander Hamilton on Saturday evening and not long after curtain call, he sat down for a haircut.
It might have been expected to run forever, but was gone from Broadway just six years later, unable to survive the loss of original cast members Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick.
Miranda’s final curtain call was set to the theme song of The West Wing.
Afterward, Miranda appeared waving on the balcony outside the theater under an umbrella and also opened a window to say thank you to the crowds standing in the pouring rain outside.
Javier Muñoz will take over the title role of “Hamilton” from Mr. Miranda.
Most theater experts say “Hamilton” will make the transition Saturday without any lasting damage. “He’s kind of arrogant, he’s kind of insecure, he’s unbelievably romantic”. Michelle Obama referred to the play as “best piece of art in any form that I have ever seen in my life”.
On Friday, Miranda also released a new single “Love Made the World Go Round” in honor of the Orlando shooting victims. He will be replaced by two-time Tony Award nominee Brandon Victor Dixon (Shuffle Along), who will begin performances mid-August.

Miranda, who also wrote the book, music and lyrics to the show, is leaving to work for the Walt Disney Company as both a writer (Moana) and an actor (Mary Poppins Returns).
