Here Is Fox News’ Awkward Report On The Ongoing Roger Ailes Controversy
According to a source briefed on the investigation, Kelly has helped at least one colleague speak out, too.

His departure could have huge ramifications for Fox News, which has dominated cable news for well over a decade.
“She is rapidly emerging and has already passed Bill O’Reilly on a number of recent sweeps as the most-watched of their show hosts”, he said.
Several other news outlets also reported that Ailes was officially leaving Fox before backpedaling around 5 p.m. Tuesday. Since the lawsuit was filed July 6, a succession of Fox employees have come forward to publicly defend him, but they notably did not include Kelly.
“Roger is at work”, the statement said. Some anchors are believed to have clauses in their contracts that could allow them to leave if Ailes doesn’t remain in power.
A report in NY magazine, citing anonymous sources, says lawyers for 21st Century Fox have given Mr Ailes a deadline of 1 August to resign or face being fired.
“Rupert Murdoch is the man who founded it, and he is in the slow process of transitioning the control of the parent company over to his sons”.
Ailes has been one of the most powerful and influential figures in American media since he established the cable news network in 1996, and his departure would signal the end of an era in television and politics.
The embattled chairman of Fox News Channel allegedly sexually harassed Megyn Kelly, the network’s biggest star. Parent company 21st Century Fox issued a statement, saying: “This matter is not yet resolved and the review is not concluded”. “James Murdoch is said to be arguing that Ailes should be presented with a choice this week to resign or face being fired”. Carlson said Doocy was treating her in a “sexist and condescending manner”.
“We’re not programming to conservatives”, Ailes said in a 2003 interview.
CNN media reporter Brian Stelter said there was “conflicting information” about Ailes’ current status. But that appeared to be contradicted by another Drudge “bulletin” claiming the Ailes’ ouster reports were at most premature.
Carlson says in the suit that she attempted to complain to Ailes about sexist treatment from her colleagues on Fox & Friends, to which Ailes replied, “I think you and I should have had a sexual relationship a long time ago”.

All of the drama followed a bombshell story Tuesday morning by New York Magazine’s Gabriel Sherman. Separately, Fox News on Tuesday sued Charter Communications Inc., alleging breach of contract.
