College player in alleged assault released by team
The incident report, which was released on Wednesday, confirms that in fact, there was a scuffle between Green and Edmondson.

Edmondson said it was his second confrontation with Green, a former Michigan State player, in two nights. Edmondson said he bumped into Green last Friday and looked for an apology from Green, which Green shot down. Neither Edmondson nor Williams could describe to police the men that they say choked them. Soon all of them clutched Edmondson and his girlfriend by the throat, according to Yahoo!
Edmondson stated that he turned and told the subject to watch where he was going. “He then said, ‘I pay for n*ggas like you scholarships.’ I then started to say, ‘You have me messed up, ‘ before I was choked out by two guys who were with him”. The officer wrote in the report that he “observed a taller, b/m, wearing a white t-shirt, open handedly slap another b/m across the face”.
“I asked who he was to think that it’s okay to bump into somebody without saying excuse me”, Edmondson told police.
Authorities in East Lansing wouldn’t confirm details of Green’s arrest, but a police report from the incident is filling in the blanks.
Charles Barkley, the former National Basketball Association star and current analyst for TNT, said “Good for Draymond Green”, while on ESPN’s “The Dan Le Batard Show”, according to Sports Illustrated. “It will be resolved really quickly”, Green said Tuesday in Aspen, Colorado. In an interview posted on ESPN Tuesday, Green admitted that he can not put himself in “certain situations” being a public figure. “It’s something that I’ll learn from and just move on”.
Edmondson played in 11 games last season with the Spartans, recording 24 tackles and three passes defended.
Green, now with the Golden State Warriors, is scheduled to be in Las Vegas July 18-22 for a pre-Olympic camp with the US national basketball team.
