Taking cognizance of media reports on the issue, the commission observed that two of the five men, who were out on bail in the earlier case of gang-rape, were pressurising the victim’s family for an out-of-court settlement, but the girl’s family was refusing to accede to the demand.
She said: ‘I came out of college and there were those very five men in the vehicle.
A local court sent the three accused to police custody until Sunday, after a prosecutor asked for them to be remanded for further questioning, an officer present at the hearing said.
The woman, in her 20s, is now in a stable condition in hospital. “We left Bhiwani out of fear”. Two of them were freed on bail pending the outcome of the trial, which is ongoing.
A rape case was registered against the three accused – besides absconders – on the basis of her complaint the next day, he added.

Haryana director general of police KP Singh said on Tuesday three of the accused have been caught in Rohtak, while the other two were on the run. The police named the three as Amit, Jagmohan and Sandeep.
