Pippa Middleton confirms engagement to James Matthews
It was reported on Tuesday (July 19) that Pippa, the sister of British royal Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, was engaged to Wednesday after her 40-year-old beau proposed during a romantic weekend getaway in the U.K.’s Lake District on Sunday (July 17). According to the Daily Express, the couple plans to marry next year. On Tuesday, Middleton’s sister Pippa and boyfriend James Matthews, a hedge funder who runs Eden Rock Capital Management, confirmed their engagement.

He and Pippa have been photographed together on a number of occasions in the past year, including at Wimbledon and while on holiday. That’s right, Kate’s little sister and bestie, Pippa Middleton, is engaged.
On Tuesday, Pippa stepped out with her lovely engagement ring, given to her during a romantic proposal in England’s Lake District.
Pippa began dating 40-year-old Matthews almost a year ago and the couple were recently spotted together at the Wimbledon tennis tournament.
When a reporter asked her how she felt, Pippa responded, “Couldn’t be happier”, an eyewitness tells ET. “She knows how much this means to her and how much she loves James”.
All the friends and family members from both the houses were very elated regarding this development and everyone is just waiting eagerly for their marriage next year. Pippa’s father, Michael Middleton – who vacationed with the couple in St. Bart’s this past January – shared his excitement over the pair’s impending nuptials on Monday, July 18.
“Carole [Middleton] and I are absolutely thrilled with the news”, he wrote.

Pippa Middleton is engaged and if this was 2011 we’d be freaking out, because we all know she was the real star of that Royal Wedding between Prince William and Duchess Kate.
