Worldwide pop star Lady Gaga admitted to “taking a break” from her five-year romance with “Chicago Fire” actor Taylor Kinney, citing distance and busy work schedule as culprits that marred their relationship. “We’re just like everybody else and we really love each other”, she added.

A source tells Us Weekly that the formerly engaged couple grew apart because of the time they spent away from each other due to their busy work schedules.
“Chicago Fire keeps him in Chicago and her work is nearly always elsewhere”, an industry source told People.
Amid the unending split rumors, Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney have finally responded to the rumors, as if shouting to the world that they are still very much together, but just going through a rough patch. The two made their last public appearance together in March when they showed up to Operation Smile’s 5th Annual Park City Celebrity Ski & Smile Challenge in Park City, Utah. Now that we know that long distance played a role in their breakup, a source also told the website, “They are still in constant communication”.
The pair met on the set of her music video “You and I” and eventually got engaged on Valentine’s Day previous year.
Taylor proposed on Valentine’s Day previous year but they reportedly called it off a month ago.

Kinney, 35, proposed to Gaga with a handsome heart-shaped engagement ring previous year. At that time, she wrote, “He gave me his heart on Valentine’s Day, and I said YES!” The following year, the couple had sex on a paint canvas – one of Kinney’s longtime dreams – for V Magazine.
