So far, numerous speakers at the Republican National Convention have devoted more time to denouncing presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton than talking about Trump.
“Trump may not have not been the first choice of everybody in this room, but the truth of the matter is he offers optimism ― and all she does, as somebody said earlier, is offer the status quo”, said Pat McPherson, a Nebraska delegate. “And then she lied about it, over and over again”, he said, adding later, “We didn’t disqualify Hillary Clinton to be President of the United States; the facts of her life and career disqualify her”.
He also focused on the email controversy while she was secretary of state, which he accused her of lying about “over and over again”.
The message, Mukasey said, the convention should send to her should be “loud, clear and short: No way, Hillary”. An Associated Press-GfK poll this month found that three-quarters of voters say their pick for president is motivated by a desire to cast their ballot against Clinton or Trump.
“You know that if Hillary is president, we will continue to slide, distracted y the scandals that follow the Clintons like flies”, McConnell said.
Christie cited the civil war in Libya, Syria and other foreign policy matters, including the controversial Iran nuclear treaty, which he described as the “worst nuclear arms deal in history”.
Some of the loudest cheers of the night ― chants of “lock her up!”.
Donald Trump officially won the Republican Party’s presidential nomination Tuesday, making the businessman the GOP standard-bearer after a rollicking primary season that saw him vanquish 16 rivals.
Watch White’s speech below and stay tuned for more speeches as the night unfolds.
“More than anything else, what motivates him is wanting to be a victor”, Christie said of Trump.
“So are we willing to elect someone as president who has as their role model somebody who acknowledges Lucifer?”. “Locker her up! Lock her up!” “We can not reward incompetence and deceit”, he said.

“If I were the person looking at that evidence, I bring the case”, Christie, who served as U.S. Attorney and made a reputation prosecuting political corruption cases before he became governor, said during a 15-minute appearance on the MSNBC program “Morning Joe” Wednesday morning.
