Texas vigil for father, son Nice victims
They were at the Bastille Day celebration in Nice when an Islamic terrorist mowed down over 80 pedestrians with a large truck.

There are 3 comments on the The Washington Post story from Yesterday, titled Texas father and his 11-year-old son among the dead in Nice attack. They were traveling with Copeland’s wife, Kim, Sean’s two other children, Austin, 22, and Maegan, 29.

Other friends and family members have taken to Facebook to express their grief over the sudden and tragic loss of Sean and Brodie.
The BBC said another French victim was Robert Marchand, a 60-year-old industrial supervisor from Marcigny, a small, rural town in eastern France, who was a parent and a coach at an athletics club.
Eleven-year-old Brodie Copeland played baseball for a local team.
In fact, the week before their Europe trip, the Lakeway, Texas family had been in Panama City Beach, Florida, for one of Brodie’s baseball tournaments.
Family members Haley and Heather Copeland, who live in North Texas, posted to social media when they got the news.
Victim Mohammed bin Abdel Qader al-Toukabri, who was born in 1958, hailed from Tunisia’s Beja Governorate and worked as a mechanic in Nice, the ministry said.
“We cry this evening for these innocent people who came to spend an evening with their family and then found themselves facing a murder frenzy by this man”, Mayor Claudie Mejean said on her Facebook page. We are asking that you support the Copeland family in this time of need.
“Two of Sean’s brothers are set to fly to Nice with the State Department to pick up the family and bring everyone home, according to Troy Copeland, Sean’s brother”, the representative said.
“We are aware that two USA citizens were killed in the attack”.
One of them, James Walker, told reporters he and his friends were facing the water after the fireworks show finished when suddenly the white truck zoomed past them from behind, narrowly missing them.
Atlanta’s NBC affiliate, WXIA, reported that 17 students from the Georgia Institute of Technology were in Nice to celebrate Bastille Day.

Brendan Phillips, another Georgia Tech student who was with Walker, described his fears of a stampede as the crowd ran toward them.
