He added: “Mourinho could become the new Ferguson”.

Jose Mourinho insists club legend Ryan Giggs made his own decision to leave Old Trafford.
“Then we will raise the bar: getting in the top 10, the Europa League, a place in the Champions League and maybe win a trophy from the five in which we will play”. Jose Mourinho returns to the EPL after he was sacked by Chelsea last December, albeit with Manchester United.
Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri is not losing sleep over his team’s Premier League title defense and believes the pressure to succeed is more on the new managers of the big-name clubs.
The friendly Italian will look to defend his title while guiding the Foxes through their first Champions League campaign.
In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Ranieri said: “Mourinho can be the new Ferguson”.
Ranieri’s compatriot Antonio Conte has taken over at Chelsea, while Mourinho and Pep Guardiola are now installed on opposite sides of the Manchester divide. “He will not stay in Manchester for 26 years, but he will leave his mark”, Mourinho told The Mirror.
“They must know each other well and not let themselves be sidelined by the inevitable cultural differences, but we shall see an Italian model at Chelsea”. They’re going to have a lot of fun in London.
Ranieri also gave his two cents on Liverpool and Spurs.
“[Mauricio] Pochettino was an exemplary rival for Leicester at Tottenham last season and he’s working really well”, he said.
