Lawmakers in Germany are pushing for new legislation to help deal with driverless auto accidents.

The German ministry of transport has proposed a legislation regarding this aspect. The hardware would record the decisions made by the autopilot functionality, when the driver was under the control of the vehicle, as well as would pinpoint the exact moment when the system requested that the driver takes over.

Reportedly, this proposal, which is now in a draft stage, will be voted on in the coming few months by the German Parliament.

However, Tesla has been adamant that it not going to do any such thing and would rather help educate people more about how the function works.

Already, several major German carmakers, including VW and BMW, are working to bring autonomous, self-driving cars to the market.
