‘He Helps Defensively, Provides Assists And Scores Goals’: David Luiz Backs Di
The build-up to the match had been dominated by speculation surrounding United’s unsettled Argentinian star Angel di Maria, who is expected to complete a move to PSG imminently.

Paris Saint-Germain are hopeful of finalising a deal this weekend to buy Ángel Di María from Manchester United for a fee of around £40 million (€57m).
Reports in France claim PSG will pay United 65million euros (£46million) for the 27-year-old, who failed to settle in Manchester following his British record transfer from Real Madrid past year.
Di Maria scored three goals and set up a further 10 in his 27 Premier League appearances for United last season.
“We have a situation that is not favourable for David de Gea but neither for us and neither for the club (Real Madrid) that maybe he wants to go (to).”
Could this be the Manchester United XI that Louis van Gaal picks in just two weeks’ time? I don’t know if he keeps missing flights so he doesn’t have to join up with the United squad, but he’s still in Argentina – he’s nursing the injury picked up in the Copa America final.
As Di Maria’s protracted transfer saga continues to drag on, Van Gaal readily admitted on Wednesday that he hasn’t the faintest idea where Di Maria now is.
“I find it disgraceful, I really do, ‘ says Hill”.
United will host Tottenham Hotspur in the opening match of the season at Old Trafford on 8 August. Now the sequence is a little bit different.
“I love to see the young lads getting a chance and the opportunity for Sean to come away on tour was probably a bonus for him in many ways”, he said.

Since then, the 27-year-old and his family have been living in a city-centre apartment in Manchester owned by former United defender Phil Neville. In PSG, it’s nearly certain that he will be given a lot more freedom on the pitch and that could prove to be vital for him to improve his performances from past year.
