A spokesman from Kensington Palace said that Kate Middleton and Prince William are “absolutely delighted” by the news, and parents Michael and Carole Middleton are “absolutely thrilled”.

And check out her glitzy engagement ring: a 4-carat asscher-cut diamond surrounded by a border of smaller diamonds. “And James is very bright”.

Kate’s sister and her now-fiancé released a statement to the Press Association confirming their engagement and when they expect to tie the knot.

Middleton, 32, accepted her boyfriend James Matthews’s proposal during a walk in the Lake District last weekend. Pippa said “Yes”, the Daily Mail reported on Tuesday citing sources close to the couple.

James Matthews, 40, is the chief exective of Eden Rock Capital Management group. So, who is the man set to be the Duchess of Cambridge’s new brother-in-law?

Still, Pippa’s betrothal to James Matthews, who is apparently a hedge fund manager and disappointingly not Prince Harry, is fantastic news for royal watchers and basically everyone else.

This comes five years after Pippa stood at her sister’s fairy-tale wedding.

All the friends and family members from both the houses were very elated regarding this development and everyone is just waiting eagerly for their marriage next year.

Middleton and Matthews have been dating for less than a year – although they were an item for a short time back in 2012.

The couple were recently seen watching the tennis together at the Wimbledon championships in London.

The sister-in-law of the future king of England was photographed Tuesday with a big diamond ring on her finger.
