Donald Trump Jr. Speak at the Republican Convention
Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions opened the nominating process with a hearty endorsement of Mr Trump, declaring him “a warrior and a winner”.

It was one of the occasional flurries of dissent on the convention floor, including jeers as states that Trump did not win recorded their votes during the nominating roll call vote.
The plagiarism accusations centre on Monday night’s speech by Mr Trump’s wife. “@PaulManafort, blaming Hillary Clinton isn’t the answer for ever Trump campaign problem”, tweeted Jennifer Palmieri, Clinton’s communications director.
Nor has it identified the person responsible for inserting the lines into the speech that echoed those of Michelle Obama’s address to the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Questions about plagiarism surfaced for a second day in a row, this time in the eldest son’s speech. As a candidate, Kasich declared in March that Trump was “really not prepared to be president of the United States”, and the following month he took the highly unusual step of coordinating with his rival Senator Ted Cruz in an effort to deny Trump the nomination.
Clinton pounced on the tumult, saying the Republican gathering had so far been “surreal”, comparing it to the classic fantasy film “Wizard of Oz”.
“When you pull back the curtain, it was just Donald Trump with nothing to offer to the American people”, Mrs Clinton said during a speech in Las Vegas.
Press box epidemiologists also reported an outbreak of plagiarism, namely, in the inaugural address of presumptive First Lady Melania Trump, who cribbed from-isn’t that a coincidence-the incumbent, Michelle Obama. I wrote them down and later included some of the phrasing in the draft that ultimately became the final speech. According to a tally from FiveThirtyEight, speakers on Tuesday said “Hillary” 87 times, “Clinton” 70, and “jobs” just 24 times.

Donald Trump made his “official” entry into convention city on Wednesday, a made-for-television helicopter landing with bright and blue Lake Erie in the background. In his speech, Trump Jr. described the presidential candidates as “a President” with various anecdotes to contrast his father with Clinton. Now, Trump leads a divided party, so it makes sense that the Republicans would unite around a common foe if they can’t all rally around their nominee. She says she attempted to resign on Tuesday, but Donald told her people make “innocent mistakes” and said she could learn and grow from the experience.
