Pokemon Go Japan Delayed, Nintendo Shares Hit Wall
It seems ridiculous in 2016, but the company just doesn’t seem to have the capacity to cope with demand – and Japanese demand for Pokemon Go is expected to be extreme.

That said, while this all looks fantastic for Nintendo at the moment, analysts caution that Nintendo won’t necessarily keep this elevated status, especially if its upcoming mobile games or new console do not do as well as Pokemon Go.
Nintendo’s stock shares have been increasing their value since July 6 when Pokémon Go was released.
McDonald’s Holdings Co, the fast-food giant’s affiliate in Japan, expects to start collaborating with Pokemon Go soon, according to a statement responding to news reports.
“Investors are flocking to Pokemon-related stocks and McDonald’s Japan is one of those benefiting from the boom”, said Mitsushige Akino, executive officer at Ichiyoshi Asset Management. Bloomberg has reported that McDonald’s Japan has recorded a high price rocket for their Pokemon-branded Happy Meals before the game is even released.
Technology news site TechCrunch said that the company was anxious the hype generated by the game would overload the servers.
Nintendo’s shares suffered a rare bad day, tumbling 13 percent, but they are still up 86 percent since its USA launch earlier this month.
Months after taking the world by storm and leaving addicts in its wake, Pokémon Go is finally returning home to its birthplace, Japan.
There is apparently too much hype going around for the upcoming Pokemon Go launch in Japan thus it caused a delay.

TechCrunch later reported the launch was delayed due to a leaked McDonald’s internal communication surfacing on internet forums. Since the weekend it has been released in more than two dozen more countries but has yet to be available in Japan. With its 3,000 Japanese restaurants designated as gyms in the game, the hope is that players will flock to them, taking time for a drink and a snack as the hunt Pokemon.
