Media spent more time analyzing Melania than FBI spent on Clinton

Besides anti-Clinton sentiment, the most evident unifying factor is Trump’s seemingly reluctant choice of Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate, confirmed Tuesday without dissent. Trump called into Fox News Channel that night – cutting into his prime-time convention programming – to escalate the feud.
While party leaders called for unity, numerous convention speakers focused heavily once again on Hillary Clinton.
The boisterous roll call featured officials bragging about their states, per tradition, and enthusiastically declaring Trump the victor of their delegates.
Eight years ago, Mrs. Obama said: “And Barack and I were raised with so numerous same values: like, you work hard for what you want in life, that your word is your bond, that you do what you say you’re going to do, that you treat people with dignity and respect”. Trump then disrupted Cruz’s moment by appearing in the arena at the end of the speech, upstaging the Texas senator. Earlier Tuesday, some Republicans were saying Cruz’s supporters wanted to gather enough signatures to allow the Texan to be nominated.
Christie conducted a mock trial of Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state (2009-2012) and held her guilty on every charge, prompting the crowd to chant, “Lock her up, Lock her up”. In choosing a man that represents everything bad and wrong about America to officially represent the Republican Party and according to his policy proposals the entire conservative movement, it is safe to say the entire world and maybe a few Americans now comprehend just how much is wrong about America.
For Republican donors who have little positive to say about Trump, the children are a safe topic. You keep ignoring. I don’t understand why. The Hill writes.Lynne Patton, a black woman and an assistant to Donald Trump’s son Eric Trump, thrilled convention with a spirited argument that Trump will fix racial divisions in the U.S.
Speakers also included some unknown names, such as Andy Wist, founder and CEO of a waterproofing company in the Bronx, as well as Dana White, president of the popular Ultimate Fighting Championship, which promotes mixed martial arts.
After a turbulent campaign that saw Trump defeat 16 rivals and steamroller stubborn party opposition, the tycoon said it was time to “go all the way” and beat Democrat Hillary Clinton in November. “Chip in now to make sure he never steps foot in the Oval Office”.
“People are really excited to do something different”, she said.
The roll call unfolded largely according to plan after a day dominated by unwelcome attention over passages from an eight-year-old Michelle Obama speech that made their way into Melania Trump’s address to the convention, nearly word for word, the night before. I did not check Mrs. Obama’s speeches. At one point, campaign co-chairman Paul Manafort blamed Hillary Clinton for the controversy, though he offered no coherent theory on how she could have orchestrated it.

Last night on The Daily Show, Noah summed up the first day of the Republican National Convention with the tagline: “Make America Fear Again” a play on the official theme “Make America Safe Again”. Many of its delegates left once Trump was named the nominee.
