Juventus accept new Manchester United bid for star midfielder

As the Daily Mail explains, United have had a “clear run” at Pogba – who was initially keener on a move to Real Madrid – purely because no other club is willing to pay so much money for him.

Pogba left Old Trafford on a free transfer in 2012 but the 23-year-old could be set to return this summer, with negotiations over a deal understood to have begun earlier this month.

Although, a more plausible word is, that Manchester United have agreed to break the €100 million world record fee to meet Juventus’ demands, and the deal is set to complete as only Mino Raiola’s fee is yet to be finalized.

Pogba, who has been in Miami on holiday with Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, would then link up with the United squad after their two matches in China.

But it is Mourinho’s expensive courtship of Pogba which has developed into the most high-profile transfer saga of the close-season.

Pogba subsequently flourished and has transformed into one of the world’s best midfielders, shining during a medal-laden period with Serie A champions Juventus.

The midfielder is said to be ready to accept a €13m annual salary at Old Trafford, which would nearly treble the wages he is now earning at Juventus.

Manchester United on Tuesday made an opening bid of £85 million for Pogba which could spark the biggest transfer in football history.

Furthermore, multiple reports suggest that Pogba has agreed to personal terms and has told Juventus he wants to leave the club to join Manchester United.
