Odell Beckham Says Josh Norman is Only Relevant Because of Him

“Yeah. For sure”, Beckham said when asked if he was certain Norman jouined the Redskins because of him.

In fact, the Giants’ star wide receiver believes he’s the reason that the new Redskins defensive back is getting any attention these days.

The rivalry between Josh Norman and Odell Beckham exploded onto the scene in an ugly fashion during the 2015 season, when Beckham was almost – and should have been – ejected for throwing fists and going helmet-to-helmet at Norman. I just could never get back on the field, I was trying to rush back to play him because this is the man. You obviously always want to go against the best, always.

Beckham was more of a household name previous year when it was all said and done – and had more time to capitalize on it since the Giants didn’t sniff the playoffs and Norman was actually playing in the Super Bowl.

Norman signed a five-year, $75 million deal with Washington this offseason.

After taking most of the summer off from trash talking the former Panthers cornerback, Beckham renewed hostilities during a recent interview with GQ Magazine.

“The reason he’s become so relevant is because of me”, Beckham told GQ for its August issue, which has yet to go online. Beckham may or may not have achieved that, but the year is young, and these two have a lot more hating each other to do. Norman rose to prominence last season as a shutdown cornerback for the Panthers.
