Trump’s Plane Interrupts Ted Cruz Rally, Crowd Boos
Chris Christie has moved from being the shadow of GOP nominee Donald Trump back into attack mode against Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa. Ernst is one of the Republican Party’s rising stars, but the speaking schedule had her appearing late in the night before a almost empty hall.

Trump says in a tweet, “Good news is Melania’s speech got more publicity than any in the history of politics especially if you believe that all press is good press!”
Clinton, during remarks Monday at the NAACP’s annual convention, said there was no justification for directing violence at law enforcement.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest says that passages incorporated into Melania Trump’s convention speech from Michelle Obama’s convention speech in 2008 show that Americans admire similar values in their political leaders.
The conservative senator repeatedly clashed with Trump during a bitter primary fight, with the NY businessman mocking the lawmaker as “Lyin’ Ted”.

Cruz was the second-to-last candidate left standing in a crowded Republican primary that saw him in bitter competition with Trump.
“What happened to professionalism, manners and humanity in our politicians and citizens?” said Bill Pickle, a SC delegate.
On Wednesday, Trump arrived to the Cleveland hall via helicopter.
Two passages of Mrs. Trump’s speech Monday night were almost identical to passages from Michelle Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention eight years ago. Cruz isn’t expected to offer a full-throated endorsement of Trump, but will at least “suggest” that he is backing Trump’s candidacy for president, Manafort said. He did a walkthrough at the Quicken Loans Arena that morning.
Leaders of those groups have been allied in recent weeks as Trump’s path to the GOP nomination became assured. “And so people are going to have their own timetable and their own ways of adjusting to that reality, but I’m looking forward to what Sen”.
Paul Manafort said on ABC Wednesday that the meeting, which took place during the FBI’s probe into Hillary Clinton’s private email server, “probably communicated information that was going to be helpful to her” as FBI Director James Comey considered whether to recommend an indictment for the former first lady.
He also alluded to his own future national prospects – something the crowd egged on as they chanted “2020!”
He explained that numerous major mainstream media players were “liberal Democrats” who wanted Hillary Clinton to win the presidency.

Nevertheless, Donald Trump now has the crown – and a final chance to summon unity from the party’s restive ranks in the ritual’s closing days. Mike Lee, who had helped lead the efforts to force a state-by-state roll call vote on the rules.
