The Red Devils are the favourites to sign the 23-year-old midfielder after Real Madrid bowed out of the race, admitting they can not compete with the Premier League outfit. Seems the Juventus midfielder will not be joining the European champions.
There was a suggestion that Paul Pogba could well be leveraging United’s interest for his own personal gain – potentially a big money move to European Champions Real Madrid.
Real Madrid are the only other club the player could join, although the Spanish club’s manager, Zinedine Zidane, admitted earlier this week that he is happy with his current squad.
“I like Pogba. At the moment, he’s a Juventus player”.
“Juventus would get 120m, but it was leaked today a clause between Juventus and Pogba says that 20% of the selling fee would go to Pogba”.
“It’s hard because a big squad creates problems”. He is not the only one, because there are many good players, and every club want to have good players. There are a lot of competitions and we need everyone. You don’t know what will happen until August 31.
