Mike Pence Accepts the Vice Presidential Nomination at the Republican National Convention

There were angry scenes at the Republican National Convention in OH on Wednesday as US Senator Ted Cruz failed to endorse presidential nominee Donald Trump, ahead of November’s election showdown with Hillary Clinton. “Over the phone, she read me some passages from Mrs. Obama’s speech as examples”. “Mr. Trump told me that people make innocent mistakes and that we learn and grow from these experiences”.

The paper said McIver is a 65-year-old Manhattan resident and registered Democrat.

Trump aide Meredith McIver acknowledged Wednesday that she had included some of Michelle Obama’s convention speech in her research notes and then included those notes in the speech.

The boos stopped once Trump entered the convention hall.

ABC News coverage of the Republican National Convention Once again, the Trump campaign finds itself on the defensive.

Melania Trump was the first in the family to address the convention, warmly casting her husband as kind and loyal.

“The speech was very effective and communicated those feelings”, Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort said Tuesday on CNN’s “New Day”.

Trump’s caustic rhetoric on race, women and Islam had alienated many Republicans, to say nothing of swing voters.

Three long days of attacks on Hillary Clinton, floor fiascos and testaments to Donald Trump have come and gone, and now the big moment of the Republican National Convention has arrived.

The folksy IN governor got some solid lines IN, nodding to his low national profile before delivering a full-blown defense of Trump and attack on Hillary Clinton. Playing over the loudspeakers was the soaring tune of the movie Air Force One.

He told a crowd that Pence is “going to make an unbelievable vice president of the United States”.

“We deserve an immigration system that puts America first”, he said, “and yes, builds a wall to keep us safe”.

Trump and Pence shared the stage only briefly on Saturday when Pence publicly agreed to be Trump’s running mate, and their first televised interview together, on CBS’s 60 Minutes, was not smooth.

“We started out today counting down to tomorrow, when Donald Trump will finally speak for the fourth time”.

If Trump loses, Cruz’s position not to endore him will be justified. “I’m comfortable that it’s a less awkward situation than I’ve seen in many marriages”.
