Man shot multiple times in East Hartford

Police, responding to a shots-fired report, found Clark in his vehicle near the intersection of Main Street and Silver Lane not far from the lot.

The victim suffered non life threatening injuries and police are still investigating multiple crime scenes to try and figures out exactly what happened.

State Police and East Hartford Police are investigating the Thursday night shooting of 26-year-old man who sustained several non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

According to a statement from the state police, Matthew Russo, 26, of Hartford, became combative with police. The officers located a victim when they arrived on the scene. They also searched for the shooter and witnesses.

Troopers initiated a preliminary investigation, and detectives from Central District Major Crime responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

The commuter lot is next to Exit 90 of the Wilbur Cross Highway and within State Police jurisdiction. It’s unclear whether they’re all connected.
