Democrats’ answer to Paul Ryan’s intern selfie looks totally different
“In the face of the blinding whiteness of Speaker of the House Paul Ryan’s selfie with a crop of Capitol Hill interns, a group of Democratic interns stopped shielding their eyes long enough to take their own photos”.

The gathering photographed by Ryan was part of the Congressional Summer Intern Lecture Series, Khalaf told USA Today, and the lecture was at capacity so interns from both parties were randomly selected to attend in a lottery.
The party’s political rivals have fixed that however, with the Democrats coming out with an intern selfie of their own that paints a very different picture.
The photo made the rounds under hashtags such as #RepublicansSoWhite and #WhiteWash.
Audra Jackson, an intern for U.S. Rep. E.B. Johnson, snapped the photo, which Johnson later posted to her Twitter page.
Ryan’s office did not immediately respond to ABC News’ request for comment on reactions to the photo.

Ryan got blowback from Democratic colleagues, too. TMZ, however, caught up with Michael Steele, former Republican National Committee chairman, at the Republican convention in Cleveland this week and showed him the photo.
