Donald Trump’s Twitter Reaction to Ted Cruz’s RNC Speech
“I’m really disappointed”, said Thuy Lowe, an alternate delegate to the convention from the Orlando area and a candidate for Congress. “My heart sank when he finished his speech without endorsing”.

Ted Cruz refused to endorse Donald Trump in his Wednesday night RNC speech.
“I acknowledge the enthusiasm of the NY delegation”, Cruz said with a kind of smile. She voted for him over Trump in the Florida primary.
As the GOP primary came down to the two candidates this spring, Trump and his surrogates attacked Cruz’s family.
Cruz took about a dozen questions here at what was originally scheduled to be a fairly traditional delegation breakfast. Trump also criticized the appearance of Cruz’s wife, Heidi.
He defended his choice amid backlash, saying he’s “not in the habit of supporting people” who attack his wife and father.
After Trump’s comments, the White House said the United States has an “ironclad” commitment to mutual defense among the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies.
His position is at odds with longstanding US foreign policy. The 28 nations that are part of the NATO alliance have all signed a treaty pledging to automatically come to the aid of any member country that is attacked.
Near the end of the speech, Trump had enough, emerging from his family suite where he was awaiting his son Eric’s speech, to enter the arena to vast applause moments before Cruz concluded his speech.
Ivanka Trump tells NBC’s “Today” that, “I love Melania so much”. She said people who had doubts about the Bushes and Romney put them aside, and now it’s time to do the same for Trump.
The delegates responded with angry boos, and Cruz backer and former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli escorted Heidi Cruz off the convention floor as she was heckled by Trump delegates. And he has encouraged delegates to hold out against a Trump nomination even as that outcome became inevitable. Already, in his handling of the party platform and his selection of Pence as his running mate, Trump has demonstrated flexibility and some ability to placate warring factions. Unlike Cruz, he wrangled a good prime time speaking spot at the convention to show his loyalty.
“And to those listening, please, don’t stay home in November”, Cruz said.
“The party is having issues right now”, said Harvey. His speech to the delegates on Thursday looms as a huge moment for him and for the party he wants to lead. He added that “now that cloud is lifted off” Mrs. Trump. I don’t know if he will. I don’t know if the campaign’s coming together in a way to pull that effort off but he should.
Although Trump tried to publicly brush off the struggle to win Cruz’s support, senior Trump adviser Paul Manafort went at Cruz’s pro-Constitution profile. The most important speech of his life will bring down the balloons on a convention marked by divided loyalties and unwanted distractions.

When you have the only true “red” candidate still relevant in this election, Ted Cruz, openly refusing to endorse the soon-to-be-official Republican candidate you have to wonder… Vice presidential nominee Mike Pence, the governor of IN, delivered a well-crafted speech IN defense of Trump’s priorities and his leadership. And Cruz’s dedicated supporters remember that he once called Trump a “pathological liar” and “utterly amoral”.
