As he appeared on stage Wednesday night, Cruz basked in a minute-long standing ovation.

“Last night was an unbelievable night that was a turning point, truly a turning point”. “I thought I was in Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia, he got booed so much”, Otter said, referring to the now-demolished venue where the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies once played. ISIS says we think you’re not worth anything America, so we’re going to kill you. “In the end it actually worked out great for us, because what little – if there was any dissension – really galvanized behind us after that moment”.
“Shameful. He should have come out and endorsed Donald Trump tonight”, said Palm Beach County Republican Chairman Michael Barnett.
Alternate delegates react to Senator Ted Cruz’s speech. I’m feeling kind of disgusted right now.
Donald Trump’s former rival for the Republican nomination Ted Cruz has defended his decision not to endorse Mr Trump, saying he’s not the Republican presidential candidate’s “servile puppy dog”. I was hoping for unity. “He’s focused on 2020. he doesn’t care about 2016 or winning this election”.
Fisher wouldn’t explicitly commit to voting for Trump; he’d only say that he’ll do whatever it takes to keep Hillary Clinton out of the White House. “So I don’t take what he has to say with any meaning”.
But in Cruz’s circle, an endorsement was never in the offing. “In my view, when it’s an uncontested convention, the night belongs to the nominee, so I think it was inappropriate for Ted Cruz to do what he did”, Toomey told reporters in this 270-year-old borough 40 miles north of Philadelphia.
“I used to get high, drunk and laid”, the TV personality said.
Pence told Fox News that a Trump administration would tell U.S. allies “the time has come for them and for their citizens to begin to carry the financial costs of these worldwide obligations”.
The Cruz and Trump teams talked every few days to lessen tension, according to Roe: No, Cruz’s aides were not working to unbind the delegates. But on Thursday the Texan met anger and denunciations from many sides and was even heckled at a breakfast meeting of his own Texas delegation where a vocal minority of the large crowd was furious.
“Are you going to vote for Trump?” But he said Cruz “made a pledge” to support the eventual nominee.
It may not have been political suicide for Cruz as there were some delegates who vowed to write in Cruz on the ballot in November.
In a tweet Thursday morning, Trump said the Republican Party is “very united” except for “a small group of people who have suffered massive and embarrassing losses”. But Cruz, who didn’t criticize Trump for the first several months of the campaign, became a bitter foe of Trump as Cruz emerged as the last viable GOP contender.

“I am not in the habit of supporting people who attack my wife and who attack my father”, he said. Cruz aides said he would be willing to meet with Trump in the future despite the tension, and shared that he himself wants to work through their ideological differences, even if Cruz considers any pledge to do so to be “abrogated”. “Vote for candidates up and down the ticket who you trust to defend our freedom and to be faithful to the Constitution”.
