Paul Manafort, Donald Trump’s campaign chair, claimed that the wife of the Republican nominee “never cribbed from another speech”, while the chief strategist for the Republican National Committee, Sean Spicer, argued that the phrases in question were “common”.

Cruz finished second to Trump in the delegate count and the two were bitter rivals during the primary campaign.

“I asked to put out this statement because I did not like seeing the way this was distracting from Mr. Trump’s historic campaign for president and Melania’s attractive message and presentation”, she said.
As president, Trump said he would defend an ally against Russian aggression only after first ensuring that the allies had met their obligations to the U.S. “Let’s resolve Hillary Clinton will never become President of the United States of America”, he said, later branding her the “Secretary of the Status Quo”. Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey told CNN that Cruz was “selfish”.
The choreography said it would be the climax of a night of swelling and harmonious praise of Donald Trump. “There are still a lot of people at the convention and within the party who are not sure where he’s going to stand”. It was the most turbulent protest since the four-day convention began Monday.
The episode was tough to watch for Vanila Singh, a Woodside resident who had been a Cruz delegate before joining Trump’s slate.

A few speeches earlier in the night, Texas Senator Ted Cruz had upstaged Mr Pence by pointedly refusing to endorse Mr Trump for president, enraging many delegates by telling them to “vote their conscience” instead.
