Suspected ISIS recruiter, allegedly linked to Zakir Naik, arrested

A case under IPC sections 120 B (criminal conspiracy) and 153 A (promoting enmity between groups) as well as under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act was registered in Kochi against Qureshi.

Arshid Qureshi was arrested after the police raided a flat in Seawoods, Navi Mumbai.He was produced before a magistrate’s court in CBD-Belapur on Thursday and remanded in transit custody for 4 days. The Kerala Police which obtained Qureshi’s transit remand will now question him about his alleged role in the case.
